Jules Design Studio offers bespoke soft furnishing and furniture reupholstery services in Wimborne, Dorset for traditional or vintage armchairs, chaise longues or dining room chairs, bedroom ottomans and bespoke headboards. We offer our traditional bespoke upholstery. Sourcing furniture from auctions and antique shops to ensure that our pieces are reclaimed and re-loved. All items are inspected for woodworm and structural integrity, but keep the flaws expected of an antique piece. We can assist you in choosing your top fabric, so that you will have a restored piece of furniture that will stand the test of time, but use traditional methods to bring it back to life. Choose practical or whimsy, a comfortable dining chair, a beautiful Edwardian nursing chair for a bespoke nursery or a Regency slipper chair for a treasured bear. We can take a tired or dated chair and give it a new look all the while keeping the integrity of the original piece. We peel away the layers of the original chair assessing as we go the need to replace linings, padding or springs. Using traditional methods of reupholstery rather than staples and foam, we aim to rebuild your furniture with coir, hessian and tacks.

Creating a warm, cosy but practical space in your lounge, or a sophisticated, glamorous bedroom can be a daunting prospect. Our interior design services aim to bring together all your needs with imagination, practical skills and furniture sourcing. Where ever possible, the Studio aims to repurpose unloved furniture, and creating bespoke storage for your rooms is where we excel. We can scour auctions, antique and junk shops to find the perfect sized wardrobes, drawers, boxes and chairs with the aim of creating something practical and magical, or find the best creative skilled craftsman for your bespoke bedroom, kitchen or bathroom. Every scheme is individual to you and your needs. Each room is thoughtfully crafted, budgeted and installed. HANDCRAFTED STORAGE, BESPOKE UPHOLSTERY & CUSTOM SOFT FURNISHINGS
Using fabric to create really imaginative ways to include storage as part of the family room. Or finding a set of dining chairs that need some tlc and a change of material on the seats. Matching or contrasting fabric to existing soft furnishings, or sofas by adding a luxurious velvet or a colourful cotton or linen, in the form of a statement chair or a beautiful ottoman, created just for you.
We can source every element you need, from the chest for storage, to the statement seating, to the fabric choice. We can see the potential of the down at heel and drab and turn that into something wonderful for any room in your house. Each of our finds are thoroughly inspected, cleaned and restored before we get to the nitty gritty of replacing the worn out with new layers of springs and webbing, coir and calico bringing back the life to the old but not discarded.
