Based in Wimborne, Dorset, we offer a reupholstery service that specialises in antique chair reupholstery including armchairs and dining room chairs, stools, ottoman reupholstery and cushion repair. This service offers you the opportunity to keep your existing furniture but upgrade or refresh with new springs, new stuffing, new cushions and new fabric. As a rule we don't use foam unless we are replacing like for like, much preferring the traditional method of upholstery. We like to keep the authenticity of your existing pieces using your choice of fabric.

Full traditional reupholstery
Having trained in traditional upholstery techniques, there's nothing more exciting than stripping a chair back to its 'bones' and rebuilding, starting with the webbing and possibly new springs, to then carefully adding the necessary layers until the final fabric and trimming is in place.
Piping and buttons are made in house to your specification.
Adding your chosen fabric will bring to life a special, bespoke piece of furniture to finish to any room beautifully, from bedroom to lounge, study to nursery a finishing touch that gives you a sense of home.
Our Process
After our initial contact, we'll assess the size and shape of the item you would like reupholstered. Assessing the condition of the frame, the structure (such as springs or padding) and the fabric. We can discuss your requirements and source fabric samples, and then provide a no obligation quote with an estimation of time to completion. We usually take a 10% deposit for the cost of fabric if ordered through the Studio.
